The end of PJ days

First of all, sorry I've been MIA from the blogging world.  It looks like some fabulous things went down while I took some time off!  Well this is it.  The last of my pj days.  Me and my little tot have been spending Christmas break with our pjs.  But after today, no more!  Tomorrow will start our regular routine for the weekend.  Get up go shopping, run errands, etc.  The most important thing is that I have to start preparing for the upcoming school week. We were lucky to have some extra time off, but this break still went way to fast.  I spent way to much time relaxing and thinking about school and not enough time preparing.  So when I get back my kiddos will be doing some Kim Adsit inspired center ideas!  We will be moving from choosing our work to the "have to's" and the "can do's".  I will be making some cute signs and reworking my classroom and my lesson plans!  Stay tuned for an update of how it goes! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break! Good luck back at school!

Look Y'all!

Hey y'all! Look at me! I did it! I posted my first game on TpT! I hope you enjoy it and it is FREE! I've been so super nervous about posting things because everything is just so wonderful! Please let me know what you think! I really appreciate it! Click on the link and it will take you right to my store! Have fun at TpT I know I always spend way too much money when I get on that site! Have a great night!

Time flies...

Oh. My. Word. Time has just flown by... one minute I'm eating turkey, shopping like a fool, and the next we are back in school and it is a nonstop whirlwind of business! So as promised earlier I am posting pictures of my little turkies and pilgrims from FOR-EV-ER ago. Also, with the time going so fast I am thankful for this unit we have been doing all week. I absolutely love it. It is challenge and also a good review for my kiddos. Thanks Julie Lee for making and selling on tpt! Have a great week!

Too Much Turkey

Hey Friends! I have been so so so busy this week.  I am just about beat.  My sister pleaded with me to go Black Friday shopping with her and I couldn't resist!  We had a blast at Target and made many great memories!  I will post pictures of that when I get a chance.  My Kinders, however, were so so so busy last Monday and Tuesday.  We were lucky to have Wednesday off! Thank goodness! I had my share of turkey before we even had Thanksgiving dinner. We make a lot of headbands in my class to celebrate different events throughout the year! I just absolutely love them and think the kiddos look adorable when they wear them! My absolute favorite headband is our turkey headband.  We had a great time making them and an even better time wearing them.  On Tuesday we made pilgrim hats to go to our Thanksgiving feast.  The first graders are naturally Native Americans for the feast.  They all looked so cute.  I will be posting pictures when I get a chance.  If I can figure out how I will try to also add directions for the turkey headbands. Sorry this blogging world is just so new to me! I really appreciate everyone checking out the blog so I hope I can give ya'll some great ideas.  Thanks to Michelle from Fabulous in First for giving me a shout out! You are the best! She is having a really big sale on TpT and so I suggest you go check it out! She is A-MA-ZING! Have a wonderful weekend and check back in for pictures!

Can't wait to see what is in store for the rest of the day! I'm going to be busy over the weekend making all these new creations!

ok... time for some pictures!

This week has been super crazy but super fun! I feel like that is how the rest of 2012 is going to be for all of us! We started off our week with our Reader's workshop celebration.  We have all been working so hard and this was a great activity to show how much we LOVEEEE to read! Thank you Kim Adsit for your wonderful unit! Check out the pictures below of us working hard on our craftivity!  We also sang a song about God creating animals. The kids were able to name animals and one action and we acted it out as we sang.  I added pictures of that too! I'm working on my first activity for teacherspayteachers.  I'm really super excited and nervous at the same time.  I will add a link as soon as I get my store set up.  Have a great weekend!
