Too Much Turkey

Hey Friends! I have been so so so busy this week.  I am just about beat.  My sister pleaded with me to go Black Friday shopping with her and I couldn't resist!  We had a blast at Target and made many great memories!  I will post pictures of that when I get a chance.  My Kinders, however, were so so so busy last Monday and Tuesday.  We were lucky to have Wednesday off! Thank goodness! I had my share of turkey before we even had Thanksgiving dinner. We make a lot of headbands in my class to celebrate different events throughout the year! I just absolutely love them and think the kiddos look adorable when they wear them! My absolute favorite headband is our turkey headband.  We had a great time making them and an even better time wearing them.  On Tuesday we made pilgrim hats to go to our Thanksgiving feast.  The first graders are naturally Native Americans for the feast.  They all looked so cute.  I will be posting pictures when I get a chance.  If I can figure out how I will try to also add directions for the turkey headbands. Sorry this blogging world is just so new to me! I really appreciate everyone checking out the blog so I hope I can give ya'll some great ideas.  Thanks to Michelle from Fabulous in First for giving me a shout out! You are the best! She is having a really big sale on TpT and so I suggest you go check it out! She is A-MA-ZING! Have a wonderful weekend and check back in for pictures!

ok... time for some pictures!

This week has been super crazy but super fun! I feel like that is how the rest of 2012 is going to be for all of us! We started off our week with our Reader's workshop celebration.  We have all been working so hard and this was a great activity to show how much we LOVEEEE to read! Thank you Kim Adsit for your wonderful unit! Check out the pictures below of us working hard on our craftivity!  We also sang a song about God creating animals. The kids were able to name animals and one action and we acted it out as we sang.  I added pictures of that too! I'm working on my first activity for teacherspayteachers.  I'm really super excited and nervous at the same time.  I will add a link as soon as I get my store set up.  Have a great weekend!

Happy Monday!

Hi Friends!  Today we started our Reader's Workshop Celebration. Michelle Scannell and Kim Adsit's Unit is just wonderful! I don't know what I would do without her Reader's Workshop lessons and Deanna Jump and Deedee Wills' Writer's Workshop. Literally a life and time saver! Those women have some awesome ideas! We will be finishing up our celebration tomorrow so stop back for pictures from our Celebration Craftivity! I thought today I would leave you with some pictures of our classroom for you to check out!

Hi I'm New Here...

Hi Friends! I'm new here! I wanted to start this blog to be able to keep in touch with families and other teachers. This is my third year teaching Kinders and I absolutely love it! I teach at a Catholic School that is growing! We are busting at the seams and I absolutely love it! My kinders are absolutely amazing this year!  Thanks to blogs my job has become even better. I have been a blog "stalker" for quite some time and finally thought I should start my own! I have to admit I've been following blogs all year and have gotten great ideas from them. Don't be surprised if you see things in my room that I have seen on other blogs!  It is so addicting to sift through the number of A-MA-ZING classrooms I have seen! There are just soooo  many wonderful teachers out there!   I have been following wonderful bloggers like Michelle from fabulousinfirst and finally thought I should just make the jump and be known to the bloggin' world!  I hope to provide great ideas for all you wonderful teachers out there. And hope to find many more great ideas to help my kiddos!  For the parents, I hope you get a little glimpse of all of the fun things we do during the week! Please check back frequently for pictures and freebies of classroom activities!
